The Muslim Counselling Service is a one-to-one service, which helps you resolve your issues or reach your goals, Insha’Allah (God willing). It specialises in working with the Muslim Community who can in complete CONFIDENCE talk to a Muslim Counsellor in an Islamic environment about all kinds of matters.

Why is this so important?

This is very important because all of us want to be happy and true happiness lies in SAKINAH, i.e. Peace of mind, heart and soul.

So the question is how do we find Sakinah?

As Muslims we know that ultimate peace comes from trusting in Allah(swt). At our counselling service we believe that insha'Allah through our counsellors we can enable you to find peace by helping you to work through your problems and issues.

"...Help one another in righteousness and piety; and do not help one another in sinning and transgression...”     Qur'an Chapter 5: Verse 2

Who does this apply to?

This applies to anyone who from having serious issues such as sexual abuse and rape to wanting to perfect their character.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The best among you is the best in character".             Sahih Al-Bukhari hadith no. 8.61 (prophetic tradition)

Do you have to be weak to come to "Counselling"?

The answer is NO!... The word "Counselling" is often used in terms of weakness or something to be ashamed about. I would like to ask you a question...Would you consider going to the gym and working on your body, something to be ashamed about or a sign of weakness? I am guessing the answer is NO! Counselling is about working on your inner self and finding Sakinah in your lives. To work on ones' self takes great strength and courage because it is about having respect for yourself. Now I ask you again... Is this a sign of weakness or something to be ashamed about? I am guessing the answer is NO, again and of course we all want to reach our ultimate goal, which is ...PARADISE, Insha’Allah!
